This show blends live performance with storytelling and video, honouring the pioneers who broke barriers one shuffle at a time.

We will start at the beginning of modern tap dancing with acts like The Whitman Sisters and Jeni Le Gon. Look at those who made their mark on the silver screen with stars like Ann Miller and Eleanor Powell. Ending with the wealth of contemporary tap-dancing stars we have the pleasure of seeing live and learning from today like Michelle Dorrance (Dorrance Dance) and Chloé and Maud (Syncopated Ladies). We will take a special look at our home grown talent, like Avalon Rathgeb and Adele Joel (OKR dance), who you can watch perform in England.
